United Way of the Greater Capital Region notes that the 518 Day of Giving has EXPANDED to two days: Friday, May 17 and Saturday, May 18, 2024
Get ready to make an even greater impact on 518 Day, which returns just two months from today on May 18! For the first time ever, the Capital Region's Largest Single Day of Community Impact will be spread over two full days in 2024.
As we've done for the past six years, United Way of the Greater Capital Region and Presenting Sponsor MVP Health Care will bring together more than 1,000 volunteers at dozens of community service projects on May 17. New this year, we're proud to launch 518 Day of Giving on May 18. The Capital Region's first online fundraiser of its kind, the day will harness the giving power of our community to raise awareness and $518,000 for 150 local nonprofits.
More than 80 community-based organizations have already signed up to participate and we're excited to welcome even more in the weeks ahead. If you represent a Capital Region nonprofit, we encourage you to visit our website and register.
