Sisterhood Simply Shopping is selling Gift Certificates (SCRIP) from many retailers and restaurants, movies, hotels, gas stations, etc.They make great gifts for all occasions,such as Hanukkah, birthdays, anniversary and hospitality gifts.They are great for family, friends, co-workers, the cleaning person, the babysitter, or yourself.There is no additional cost to you, gift certificates are worth full face value. Usually they can also be for online purchases, Sisterhood will earn a percentage of every gift card bought. This is an on-going fundraiser that will continue through the year.Order forms are available on Sunday mornings at Gates Café and the gift shop, or at the temple office during business hours. The women's branch of the Congregational family is affiliated with the Women of Reform Judaism and lends its support to youth, education and service on a national as well as local level. Sisterhood meetings are held both in the day and evening to accommodate all schedules. Sisterhood has many fund-raising activities and has supported the Temple by purchasing office equipment, sponsoring the weekly Oneg Shabbat, giving partial camperships to Temple youth for attending Jewish summer camps. They support the Reyut (friendship) committee, an evening and morning study group, the Battered Women's Shelter and the Schenectady County Soup Kitchen.
