L'shanah Tovah! Please join our congregational family for a spiritually deep High Holy Day experience through prayer, music, reflection, and learning.
FREE HIGH HOLY DAY TICKETS
High Holy Day tickets are free to anyone who wants to attend services at Gates. Tickets are required for all services. Members will receive their tickets in the mail. SELICHOT PROGRAM AND SERVICE
We invite you to attend our Selichot program and service on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. Rabbi Matt and Arnie Rotenberg will present It's A Wonderful Life, Part 2, a look at images from Hollywood and a notion of renewal. A light meal will be served. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Following the discussion, Rabbi Matt will lead the 8:00 p.m. Selichot Service. As Part of the service our colorful Torah coverings will be replaced with our High Holy Day white mantels. This is a truly moving experience.
2ND DAY OF ROSH HASHANAH
Join us for our annual 2nd day of Rosh Hashanah on Friday. September 22 at the William K. Collins, Jr. Park in Clifton Park from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This will be a creative family friendly service, with activities for kids and adults, and lunch. PARENTING CENTER... a High Holy Day solution for happy kids!
Gates Parenting Center opens on Rosh Hashanah, September 21 at 10:00 a.m. It is for children from infancy to 3 years old and their parents. Located downstairs in the children's library. You and your child(ren) can sit, play, and listen to the services as it is live-streamed from the sanctuary. Within this warm and caring environment you will have the opportunity to meet and talk with other families and not be concerned that others are being disturbed by your child's laughter (or other noises.)
BOOK OF MEMORY
Traditionally prepared each year prior to the High Holy Days, lists the names of those you wish to remember at the Yizkor Service on Yom Kippur. The purpose to the book is to memorialize your loved ones. The deadline to submit names is July 28, 2017. Print form or contact Kathy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
