End of Year Appeal 2021

Dear Congregation Gates of Heaven Family,

As the end of 2021 nears, we reflect on the year’s events and feel gratitude for the things that have sustained us and brought us closer to feeling whole.

In person and virtually, we have further strengthened our CGOH community through prayer- and music-filled observances, such as High Holidays and Shabbat, and through hands-on and creative teachings and learnings, such as GatesQuest and Torah Study. We have come together through Brotherhood and Sisterhood and adult learning to share our stories, discuss books, and string together pieces of Jewish history from past to present, from far to our front door. We have celebrated joyful, proud occasions, such as b’nai mitzvah, baby namings, Jewish faith welcomings, new members, and weddings. We have performed mitzvot through our deeds and our voices, all motivated and strengthened by a pursuit for social justice. We have also honored our loved ones and friends – who always go too soon – and we have comforted each other with our presence and prayer.

As we look ahead, CGOH will continue to be a place where we can grow Jewishly and as a community. Your support through engagement, membership, volunteerism, and donations sustains us. If you are able, we welcome whatever financial contributions you might be able to offer as 2021 closes and 2022 begins.

We look forward to seeing and engaging with you (virtually and/or in-person). We are grateful for our clergy, our staff, our lay leadership, and – most of all – you, our CGOH family. Blessings to you and your loved ones.

Thank you for your generosity.
