The Jewish Roots of the Ouija Board
The High Holidays are a time of introspection—a time that we ask what the future holds for us? Are we in control? Is God? Maybe we should just use a Ouija Board. Yes, that spirit board or talking board, with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0–9, the words "yes", "no", "hello" and "goodbye", along with various symbols and graphics.
It’s well known that Baltimore is the birthplace of the Ouija Board, but few people know of its Jewish connections. Join us as we journey into the history of the Ouija Board—the World’s Best-Selling Game.
