It is my pleasure to serve as the Director of Congregational Jewish Living, a position that has grown to include the roles of Director of our Religious School, Adult Education, and programs throughout CGOH.

It is my pleasure to serve as the Director of Congregational Jewish Living, a position that has grown to include the roles of Director of our Religious School, Adult Education, and programs throughout CGOH.
I have over 40 years of experience in synagogue and day school education. Even with this role, I am always a teacher at heart, modeling lifelong learning as an example to our students and teachers.
My background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education from the University of Denver and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Colorado in Denver. Learning is a part of my life. I have the same expectations for your children as I do mineāto see them excel and become engaged in Jewish life and become productive human beings. I invite you to join me on this journey.
Josh Cooper-Ginsburg

Director of Administration and Operations
Josh joined the team at CGOH as Director of Administration and Operations in December 2021, with experience in a variety of industries related to customer service and two years as Executive Director at another synagogue.
Josh's official responsibilities include administrative oversight, management of financial transactions and records, and management of facility operations. Unofficially, Josh enjoys leading the occasional Shabbat service as cantorial vocalist, staff photographer during holiday events and year-round activities, and as host (or butler, cruise director, medic, tour guide, etc.), welcoming you and your family every time you enter our front doors.
Josh is Vice President of Ne'imah Jewish Community Chorus, Inc., based in Albany, and a member of NATA (National Association for Temple Administration), serving as Co-Chair of the Ruach Committee for the 2025 conference in Tucson, Arizona.
Josh and his husband, Eric, live in Schenectady with their Westie dog, Shea. Josh was raised in Oceanside, NY and attended SUNY Albany, when he met Eric and started their life together. Josh and Eric were married at Temple Israel in Albany in 2015. Josh has a Master Degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.
