Redemption Window Symbolism

The Redemption Window, which first meets the eye when entering the Sanctuary, expresses the Jewish hope in the coming redemption of mankind. Its symbolism is based on the messianic age of peace and brotherhood and the Prophecies when: "swords will be broken into plowshares" (Isaiah 2,4) will be achieved "not by might, nor by power but my spirit, saith the Lord" (Zechariah 4,6). The Menorah, surrounded by two olive trees was chosen as the state seal of Israel.
