Sabbath Window Symbolism
This window represents the Sabbath, the seventh day of rest. The "Queen of Days" is welcomed with the two candles, he cup of wine, and two loaves of Sabbath bread, the Challah. The Havdallah candles and the spice box are ceremonial objects with which we bid farewell to the Sabbath after sunset on Saturday night. The Hebrew letter on the Tablet signifies the Fourth Commandment: "Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy."
